The media is both, depending entirely on how it is consumed. It is highly positive because it offers unprecedented access to global information, diverse communities, and creative self-expression. However, it can be negative due to the algorithmic amplification of misinformation, unrealistic beauty standards, and the addictive nature of short-form content. Media literacy is the key to keeping the experience positive.

Connotation of an Advert

The advert shows a factory worker  wearing blue overalls, working on a machine with a cup of tea  nearby. The slogan “tea revives you”  suggests that tea gives you energy when you are tired. The bright colours , especially blue, red and yellow, make the advert eye-catching . The worker’s posture suggests he has been working hard, making the tea seem refreshing and comforting.
